The Tiniest Most Powerful Berry on Earth!
Goji berries are like little raisins. They taste great if you get a good batch. They also happen to be the number one food used in Chinese medicine, and just to put that into scope Chinese medicine uses about 8,000 different herbs and foods and has been around for about 5,000 years. They have six times more beta-carotene then carrots which is sort of what carrots are known for. Goji berries are the only food ever been found to actually increase your human growth hormone output because it contains the precursors to human growth hormone.

Goji berries score around a 25,000 on the ORAC scale which is used to measure antioxidant capabilities of food. This is actually were are 3-5 servings of fruit and veggies come from. They want you to get about a 5,000 ORAC score a day. While you can see the power of Goji berries, the ORAC scale has been shown to not always hold up. It measures antioxidants as a whole when really their are different types of antioxidants. While Goji berries pack a punch it is important to have other foods to. Goji berries also have to be dried to be shipped, which is a bummer as fresh fruit is always better. When I do eat them I always put them in water just to rehydrate them, then use the water they soaked in for a base of a smoothie so nothing is wasted.

If you are a gardener then consider growing your own goji berries. They will grow in just about any climate, and all you got to do is rip open the dried berry(if it is raw) and plant it. The goji berry is also a very strong adaptogen. That means if your immune system is struggling it can bolster it up, but if it is to high it can take things down a notch. Goji berries are also a complete protein source. Goji berries almost seem to good to be true, but they really are amazing powerful little bitty fruit that tastes pretty good.
