Gum Disease Symptoms
Many people around the world today suffer from some stage of gum disease, and many are not even aware of it. This may have a lot to do with the lack of education we have received about this 'silent epidemic'.

It would be helpful if you knew some of the symptoms of gingivitis but you should be aware that you may or may not display symptoms and you could still have periodontal disease.

Alone any one of these symptoms may not mean anything, in combination, the chances increase that you are dealing with this disease. However, if you believe in statistics the majority of people are suffering from periodontal disease right now and as mentioned before: many do not know it.

So what are some of the warning signs?

1. Halitosis - A fancy term for bad breath.

2. Redness of The Gum Tissue - For Caucasians the gum tissue should be a healthy pink.

3. Swelling - If you notice than an area of your gum line is swollen, you should probably get checked at the dentist's office. Infection is something that you don't want to mess around with.

4. Bleeding Gums = Bad! This is the classic sign of gum disease. This may occur when you brush or floss your teeth. If you see blood at these times, there is a very high probability that you have a gum disease or gingivitis problem.

5. Receding Gums - This can not only be caused by gum disease but also by brushing too hard

6. Loose Teeth - If you have loose teeth your gum disease is either advanced or approaching the advanced stage. Teeth should be firm.

7. Shifting Teeth or The Appearance of Gaps - This is similar to loose teeth.

See below for easy links to more information on periodontal disease and how you can stop or prevent it.

Best Teeth Whitening Product I've Ever Used
After searching for awhile for a reliable teeth whitening product, I'd began to become quite disheartened. Most of the teeth whitening products I'd used so far bragged, for example, of being the best home teeth whitening product on the market and being the top teeth whitener that was safe. This was quite far from the truth, however, considering there was no visible difference in my teeth after having tried all of these products. A few weeks ago, after I had become quite distressed that my teeth had noticeable yellow stains rather than the pure white that I desired, I was complaining to a friend of mine. She told me that it wasn't a big deal that my teeth weren't exceptionally white.

I became rather irritated at my friend for not realizing how much the appearance of my teeth bothered me. She laughed, and repeated again that it wasn't a big deal. She then began talking about a product she used called WhiteningNow. I wasn't really paying attention, considering I was quite used to getting ripped off when it came to teeth whitening products. I was pretty much apathetic to what she was saying until I heard her tell me there was a free trial. I figured the possibility of whiter teeth was worth it, considering the product was free as long as I was just trying it.

After the whitening kit came, I immediately put it to use. After three weeks, my teeth were whiter than they had ever been in my life that I could remember. I purchased the product immediately following this experience. Definitely a great product that I have to recommend to anyone who's looking to whiten their teeth with a safe product. Also, it's worth nothing that my results were after using the product ONCE A WEEK! WhiteningNow is a great product that conveniently allowed me to try it out free before buying, otherwise I probably wouldn't have even bothered with it.

How to Stop Emetophobia in Its Tracks
Do you like being sick? We can't think of anyone we know who enjoys being sick and we sure don't like being sick. In fact, we suffer from emetophobia. What is emetophobia? Emetophobia is basically the fear of throwing up. With emetophobia, you will be afraid of throwing up not only in public, but in private as well. There are some individuals that are so afraid of vomiting that they will not eat and they will not go out into public. Just the thought of catching a stomach virus can throw someone suffering from emetophobia into a panic. Just hearing sounds of someone vomiting can cause you to run away and not look back. Within this article, we are going to discuss how to stop emetophobia.

Emetophobia is a serious disease that is classified under being an anxiety disorder. With emotophobia, you will not have a normal life. This is because you will be so caught up in the fear of vomiting that you will not have a social life. There are women out there that have emetophobia that will not get pregnant simply because they are afraid of that morning sickness.

Those that have the bad case of emetophobia will go out of their way to avoid hospitals or anyone who may be sick. Just having the thought of nausea could really ruin ones day. Take note that this is the seven most common fear.

It is said that those who have emetophobia may have had a bad incident with vomiting somewhere between the ages of 6 and 10. However, the exact cause of this fear is not known. There are a number of different treatments, such as hypnotherapy, which will disclose those past incidents.

If you have been suffering from emetophobia and you would like to know how to stop emetophobia, then you should know that you can be helped. Take note that it could take up to a couple of weeks to get cured. This may sound funny to those that do not have this disorder, but it is not something to laugh about.

How to Get Rid of Tonsilloliths?
If you're stuck with tonsil rocks or stones, there are some ways to get rid of tonsilloliths. Some doctors claim that people with acid reflux tend to get them more frequently, since the food you swallow is coming back up the esophagus near the tonsils.

Avoid foods that cause acid reflux like chocolate, spicy foods, or coffee as much as possible. This method will help you to get rid of tonsilloliths caused by the acid reflux issue. If you're experiencing a cold, you can also get rid of tonsilloliths by taking medication to prevent nasal dripping. Since the tonsil stones can also be formed from mucous buildup, it's important to try and limit this as much as possible when you get sick.

Gargle with warm salt water twice per day as often as you can. This has been know to help get rid of tonsilloliths since it loosens them up and often helps to open up the tonsil crypt where the stones are lodged. Use a water pik if possible, and try to aim it directly at the stones. The pressure from the water should help to loosen them, and then you can simply cough them up.

Since bacteria is another cause of tonsil stones, look for a good mouthwash that kills any bacteria in the mouth. Be sure it does not contain alcohol since this only dries the lining of the mouth and makes the situation worse. Hopefully these steps can help you to get rid of tonsilloliths so you no longer need to worry about bad breath and the possibility of a tonsil related infection.
